New 2014 Programming for Clients

2014 is shaping up to be a year full of exciting programing options for the clients who access our services.
Our Wednesday Ladies Group are participating in "Craft with Kaszazz" in the morning facilitated by Amy Taylor of Kaszazz Crafts who assists the ladies with Scrapbooking, Stamping and other paper craft activities. In the afternoon they are enjoying Line Dancing classes with teachers from the Lithgow Outback Linedancers. All the ladies are extremely excited about these fantastic opportunities and are keen for a year of fun and friendship.
Our UCL Garden Maintenance Program continues with a group of clients involved in assisting other community organisations and residents with lawn mowing and gardening.
Some of our clients are continuing with their Hydrotherapy program at the Lithgow Hospital Hydro Pool. This is an excellent opportunity for them to develop and maintain their physical health and well-being; for those clients who use a wheel chair, the hydrotherapy pool offers an opportunity for some physical activity free from the confines of their wheelchair.
We also offer an opportunity for clients to participate in Independent Living Skills programs including Cooking, Road Safety Awareness, Travel Training and Money Skills.
We are excited to be opening up the opportunity for clients to participate in a workgroup that will be performing document shredding and then recycling the paper into fire logs.
Programs are also available for clients who would like to have access to Recreation or Leisure Activity. These programs offer clients the opportunity to participate in Ten Pin Bowling, Recreational Swimming, Movies and Lunch Programs in the local area and also outings to explore the Blue Mountains and Bathurst regions.
Several of our clients have chosen the Self-Directed Model. This Model provides each client the ability to tailor their funding packages to suit their everyday needs, interests, aspirations and life stage with support provided from our qualified staff at UnitingCare.
